PLANNING FOR THE WEDDING

Each wedding is different and the needs of the couple and their families vary widely. I have some general examples of “Packages” however, I encourages couples to explore and decide what their individual needs may be. My wedding prices are very reasonable this allows for a wide latitude between high end weddings and economy weddings. Most weddings, as far as prices are concerned, fall in the middle ranges. Prices range from $500 to $5,000 with an average wedding falling in the $2,500 range.

Standard Packages include all costs of time, coverage, travel (within reason), assistants, leather wedding album, prints, Photoshop, and all aspects of production work

Economy/Budget Packages are shot the same as the Standard packages but with limited post production work. This means that the photographer might not use an assistant/second photographer, proofs are available in the form of a CD or print proofs (arrangements on individual basis), only reordered images are photoshoped prior to printing. The packages’ main difference is that it does not include the leather album and prints.

The economy packages are recommended for couples who want elegant professional images of their wedding at a lesser cost. Enlargements, prints, and leather albums may be purchased later or the Bride and Groom may use this flexible option to create their own unique album. Negotiating for Reprint Rights adds the option for the savvy individual to Photoshop and/or print their own images at home.

TIPS

I encourage the couple to find some responsible wedding participant who has few duties or, a family member to be in charge of gathering bridal party member for their formal photos.

Decide if you wish to take you group/formal pictures before or after the ceremony. Taking these photos usually takes between one to two hours. It is most convenient to have the pictures done before the ceremony. This allows the couple to go to the reception after the ceremony without a long delay.

Whichever option you choose be sure to make arrangement with the church or wedding location beforehand and inform the guests well before if there will be a delay before the reception.

One option I offer for those couples who choose to have their group pictures before their ceremony is the “First Look,” or “Special Moment.” In this case I have the Groom wait at the alter. All interested family and Bridal party are welcome to witness the event or it can be in private. The groom must look away while the Bride is lead in by her Bridesmaids. Then he may turn around and the Bride & Groom see each other for the “First Time” in Tux and Wedding Gown.
